Pokemon GO is out now for iOS and Android mobile devices. Whatever Niantic decides to do with Smeargle, fans can count on the Pokemon being added to the game at some point in the future. Smeargle is best known for its ability to use the move Sketch, which permanently copies the last move used by the opponent. It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon. This stands in stark contrast to the typical chances of Shiny Pokemon. Template:PokémonPrevNext/GO Smeargle (Japanese: Doble) is a Normal-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It seems likely that Niantic is trying to figure out a way to add Smeargle to Pokemon GO without compromising one of the Pokemon's most unique features. Alongside Riolu, Onix, and Chansey, Smeargles chances during the event of appearing as a Shiny sit at 1/64 encounters. The 5 strongest Pokmon you can use to beat Smeargle are: Terrakion, Pheromosa, Lucario, Urshifu (Single Strike), Keldeo (Ordinary). The running theory is that Smeargle's Sketch move, which allows it to copy the attacks of other Pokemon, has made it difficult for Niantic to incorporate it into the game because of the way Pokemon GO's battle system works. Smeargle is a Normal type Pokmon, which makes it weak against Fighting moves. The main colors of shiny Smeargle are red and yellow. Smeargle was originally discovered in the Johto region. Since Niantic has seemingly finished creating Smeargle for Pokemon GO, to the point that it even has battle animations and the like, some may be wondering why it still has yet to debut in the game. The shiny version of Smeargle in Pokémon GO was released on 28-04-2021. This included Smeargle, meaning that the Pokemon is ready to be added to the game proper, and is fully animated. More recently, Niantic released a demo preview for Pokemon GO's PvP mode through IGN, where the IGN staffers were able to play the game in "God" mode, meaning they had access to things that aren't live on the servers. Neither Pokemon has debuted in the game just yet, but the fact that data for Smeargle exists within the game's files is a good indication that Niantic is at least preparing the creature for a proper debut in Pokemon GO eventually. Last year, well-known Pokemon GO dataminer Chrales found evidence for both Smeargle and Kecleon in a Pokemon GO update. We don't know, but there have been some clues that Smeargle could be added to Pokemon GO sooner rather than later. Rather, the Painter Pokemon will occasionally make a surprise appearance in snapshots you take. To try and trigger a Smeargle encounter, perform the following steps: Select your Camera from your items in-game, and pick any Pokemon. However, Niantic has yet to announce any concrete plans to actually add Smeargle to the game, leaving Pokemon GO enthusiasts wondering when exactly it will finally be added. Unlike most other Pokemon in the game, Smeargle can't be encountered as a wild spawn. Since Pokemon GO now includes Pokemon up to Gen 4, some may be anxious to complete their Johto region Pokedex. From today at 10am local time to March 14 at 8pm local time, players can catch the rare version of Smeargle. That Pokemon is none other that Pokedex #235 Smeargle, who still has yet to be added to the popular mobile game as of January 2019. Shiny Smeargle is back in Pokmon Go but not for long. When Niantic introduced the Celebi Special Research quest to Pokemon GO, it meant that there was only one Pokemon keeping players from completing their Johto region Pokedex.
